SOL-IRR-03-FARM
Solar Smart Irrigation System
For 10–100 Acre Farms (4–40 Hectares)
This solution is designed for farms that require:
- Multi-zone irrigation
- Stable pressure control
- Pump protection
- Solar-powered operation (using water storage buffer)
- Remote monitoring and verification
This is not a simple solar pump kit.
It is a structured irrigation system with automation + safety logic.
1) Typical Application Scale
| Farm Size | Typical Zones | System Focus |
|---|---|---|
| 10–20 Acres | 6–12 | Sequential irrigation + storage buffer |
| 20–50 Acres | 10–30 | Pressure stability + monitoring |
| 50–100 Acres | Multi-mainline | Full protection + alarm logic |

3) Operating Principle (Safe & Simple)
- Pump starts first
- Mainline becomes pressurized
- Valves open sequentially (zone by zone)
- After the last zone finishes, the pump stops
- If flow or pressure is abnormal → automatic shutdown
This approach helps you:
- Maintain stable pressure at the field
- Avoid oversizing the pump
- Reduce energy consumption
- Protect the irrigation network (avoid pipe burst / dry run)
4) Why No Battery Still Works
In this design, water storage replaces electrical storage:
- Solar pumping mainly happens during daytime
- Water is stored in a tank or pond
- Irrigation uses stored water
- Level switch prevents overflow and dry-run risk
This reduces cost and long-term maintenance.
5) Protection & Monitoring (Recommended)
For farms above ~20 acres, we recommend adding at least one verification sensor:
- Flow verification: detect dry run, pipe damage, valve failure
- Pressure monitoring: detect blockage, burst pipe, abnormal pressure
Key idea:
Pump ON does not always mean water is delivered.
Flow/pressure closes the verification loop.
6) Modular Expansion (Upgrade Anytime)
You can scale this system by adding:
- More valve zones (8 / 16 / 32 / 60)
- Second pump configuration (duty/standby)
- Fertigation module integration (project-based)
- LoRa remote valve expansion
- 4G cloud monitoring
- Solar + grid hybrid configuration (optional)
7) Request a System Design (What to Prepare)
To receive a matching proposal and BOM suggestion, please prepare:
- Farm size (acres or hectares)
- Crop type
- Water source (well / pond / river)
- Irrigation type (drip / sprinkler)
- Number of irrigation zones (estimate is OK)
